I wasn't actually looking into care options for anyone right now but I am so glad I attended the Gilgal Home Care & Registry's "Home Care 101" webinar. It was warm, clear, and genuinely informative from start to finish. Gabrielle has a wonderful way of explaining things. She walked through Medicaid eligibility and coverage, VA benefits, and how the registry and home care models work. I loved the list of "seven questions to ask any provider", the Q&A at the end, and the follow up take-home guide. I came away feeling genuinely more prepared for whenever the day comes. We learn the schedule, the routines, and the person. Then we match a cleared caregiver, or refer candidates for you to choose.

How Care Works
Two ways to bring care home.
Most agencies hold one license and will tell you their model is the right one. We hold both, so you can choose the arrangement that fits your family.
We employ the caregiver
Gilgal Care Team
The caregiver is our employee. We recruit, clear, train, supervise, and pay them, and we carry payroll taxes, workers’ compensation, and liability coverage. You receive one hourly rate and one invoice, and you never become anyone’s employer.
Visits are at least three hours, with a nine-hour weekly minimum.
$32 to $40 an hour, by level of care
You hire the caregiver directly
Family-Led Care
You hire your own caregiver. We refer independent contractors from our cleared roster and you choose who you want. You and the caregiver agree on the rate, and you pay them directly.
We handle the clearances, vetting, and Chapter 611 documentation.
$400 at placement, then $30 per day of care
Licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health under 28 Pa. Code Chapter 611 as both a home care agency and a home care registry. Family-Led Care is our name for the registry model: Gilgal refers independent contractors and does not employ, supervise, or set the compensation of the contractor you select.
