We move quickly. Clearances are non-negotiable, and here's exactly what you need to do and when. Once you accept an offer, Gilgal covers the cost of every required clearance — you don't pay out of pocket.
PA Criminal Background Check
Where: Pennsylvania State Police
Turnaround: 3–5 business days
We cover the cost.
ChildLine Clearance
Where: PA Department of Human Services
Turnaround: up to 14 days
We cover the cost.
TB Health Screening
Where: Your doctor or local health clinic
Turnaround: 1–3 business days
We cover the cost.
FBI Fingerprinting
Where: IdentoGO fingerprint site
Turnaround: 2–5 business days
We cover the cost.
The Timeline

Before Your Interview
Reply to your calendar invite confirming the status of each clearance (in progress, already complete, or haven't started). We need to know you're serious about moving fast.
Already have clearances from another job — especially if you're currently in the field? Bring proof, and we'll verify what transfers.

Your Interview
We'll meet with you and discuss your experience, fit, and next steps.

After You Accept
Once you accept your offer, we cover your clearances and walk you through completing each one. Send proof of completed clearances to care@gilgalhomecare.org as they come in.

Clearances shouldn't be a barrier to starting your career with us. Once you accept an offer and confirm your start, Gilgal covers the cost of every required clearance — PA State Police, ChildLine, FBI fingerprinting, and your TB screening. You won't pay anything out of pocket.
Already have current clearances from another employer? Bring proof — we'll verify what transfers so you don't repeat what you don't have to.
