About the Founder
Why I started Gilgal
I have worked in human services since 2012. Over those years I watched families struggle to find compassionate, trustworthy care for their loved ones. Too often, people were treated like case numbers instead of individuals created in God's image. I knew there had to be a better way.
I founded Gilgal Home Care & Registry because I believe care should be different. The name is a reminder of fresh starts, and a reminder to stay faithful and keep Christ at the center of everything we do. You can read more about the name below.
Based in King of Prussia, we serve our neighbors throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania.
My prayer is that every family we serve experiences more than quality care. I pray they experience dignity, hope, and the love of Christ in the way we care for them.

Two ways to bring care home.
Gilgal is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health under 28 Pa. Code Chapter 611 as both a home care agency and a home care registry. Most agencies hold one license. We hold both, so you can choose the arrangement that fits your family.
Agency
Gilgal Care Team
The caregiver is our employee. We recruit, clear, train, supervise, and pay them, and we carry payroll taxes, workers' compensation, and liability coverage. You are billed one hourly rate and never become anyone's employer.
Registry
Family-Led Care
You hire your own caregiver. We refer independent contractors from our cleared roster, and if there is someone you already know, we can run them through the same vetting. You and the caregiver agree on pay between yourselves and you pay them directly. We handle the clearances, reference checks, competency verification, and Chapter 611 documentation. You keep the relationship and the schedule.

I was doing this work long before Gilgal had a name.
Before Gilgal, I served as an assistant executive director for a provider in Pennsylvania's disability services system. Every policy, staff file, and incident report there answered to ODP regulations, and keeping it all in order was my job.
I also assess people for Medicaid home and community-based services, in their own homes, to understand what level of care they need. Many of them are living with dementia. I see what good support at home looks like, and what happens when it is missing.
So when you call Gilgal, you are talking to someone who knows how care is planned, paid for, and inspected in Pennsylvania. I wrote our policies and took Gilgal through Chapter 611 licensing for both the agency and the registry myself.

The Meaning Behind the Name
Why Gilgal?
In the Bible, Gilgal was the place where God rolled away the reproach of the past and prepared His people for what was ahead. It was a place of covenant, remembrance, and forward movement. It stands for a fresh start, and a reminder that God can bring new beginnings even after difficult seasons.
Scripture also tells a second half of the story. Gilgal later became a place where God's people lost sight of Him. That part of the name matters to us too. It is a daily reminder to stay faithful, to persevere, and to keep Christ at the center of everything we do, serving with compassion, integrity, humility, and excellence every day.
That is what we hope home care can be for families, caregivers, and entrepreneurs: a fresh start, a place of support and stability, and a step forward.

These six values guide how we hire, which caregiver we place, and how we write every policy and resource.
Dignity
Every person we serve, client, caregiver, or family member, carries inherent worth. We refuse to reduce people to their diagnoses, their limitations, or their circumstances. Dignity shapes how we speak, listen, document, and show up.

We tell the truth even when it is inconvenient. We follow through on our commitments, operate in full regulatory compliance, and hold ourselves and our caregivers to a high ethical standard. We take responsibility when we fall short.

Compassion
Home care is personal. Our clients are vulnerable and their families are often overwhelmed. We start with empathy, before paperwork or policy, and slow down enough to hear what someone actually needs.

We set a high bar for our caregivers, our documents, our training, and our client experience. Good enough falls short when someone's health, safety, or livelihood is on the line. Our resources cite the regulations they are built on.

Gilgal Home Care & Registry LLC is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Health under 28 Pa. Code Chapter 611 as both a home care agency and a home care registry. Every caregiver completes a Pennsylvania State Police criminal history clearance before entering a home, along with FBI fingerprint and child abuse clearances where Pennsylvania law requires them. Under Family-Led Care, our registry model, Gilgal refers independent contractors and does not employ, supervise, or set the compensation of the contractor you select.
