Gilgal Home Care & Registry ("Gilgal," "we," "us") respects the privacy of everyone who visits our website, contacts us, purchases a resource, or receives services from us. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what control you have over it.

Information we collect

Information you give us

• Name, email address, and phone number when you submit a contact form or request a resource
• The role you identify with (family member, caregiver, entrepreneur) and how you heard about us
• What you tell us about your situation in a message or during a call
• Scheduling details when you book an appointment

Information collected automatically

• Standard web analytics through Squarespace — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, referring site
• Cookies set by Squarespace for site function, and by Pinterest for conversion measurement

Information we do not collect through this website

We do not collect payment card details. Purchases are processed by Gumroad and appointment payments by Acuity Scheduling; those companies handle card data under their own terms. We never see or store your card number.

Health information

If you become a client, or if you tell us about a medical condition while inquiring about services, that information is treated as confidential. It is stored securely, shared only with people who need it to arrange or deliver your care, and never sold or used for marketing.

How we use your information

• To respond to your message, question, or service inquiry
• To arrange, coordinate, and deliver services you have requested
• To deliver a resource you downloaded or purchased
• To send occasional updates, if you asked to receive them
• To meet legal, licensing, and recordkeeping obligations, including those under 28 Pa. Code Chapter 611

What we never do

• We do not sell your personal information
• We do not rent or trade your email address
• We do not share client health information for marketing purposes

Who we share information with

We share information only where it is necessary:

• Service providers who operate parts of our business — website hosting, form processing, scheduling, digital product delivery, and email. Each acts under its own privacy commitments.
• Direct care workers matched to you, who receive the information needed to provide safe, appropriate care.
• Regulators and authorities where required by law, including mandated reporting of suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation, and licensing oversight by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

Mandated reporting

Gilgal and its workers are mandated reporters under Pennsylvania law. If we have reasonable cause to suspect abuse, neglect, exploitation, or abandonment of a child or an older adult, we are legally required to report it. Confidentiality does not override that obligation.

How long we keep information

Inquiry and marketing information is kept while it remains relevant and for a reasonable period afterward. Client service records are retained for the period required by Chapter 611 and other applicable law, then securely destroyed.

Your choices

• Unsubscribe from any email we send using the link in that message
• Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of anything inaccurate
• Request deletion, subject to records we are legally required to keep
• Control cookies through your browser settings

Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information in our care. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted on this page.
